There are dozens of businesses on the web who offer these services however our favourite provider is Cobisi (based in Italy) who developed EmailVerify.NET in 2006; arguably the world’s best email validation software.
Cobisi’s hosted email validation service allows you to perform full email hygiene and cleansing, using the following inbuilt tools:

• advanced syntax verification, according to the most up-to-date Internet IETF standards;
• DNS validations, including MX record(s) lookup;
• disposable e-mail address (DEA) validation;
• SMTP connection and availability checking;
• mailbox existence checking, with greylisting and temporary unavailability support; and
• catch-all testing

Using their hosted service is very easy and involves just three (3) simple steps.

1. Upload your list of email addresses

Upon creating a new email validation job, you will be asked to provide the service with one or more files containing the email addresses you wish to validate:

• plain text format  ( .txt)
• one email address per line

2. Choose the accuracy level you need

After that, you will have the opportunity to choose the level of accuracy you need for your validation, and see, along with each one of the proposed levels, the final price for the service including the volume discount you are eligible for:

• Approx. $0.01 per email address / Paypal or Credit Card
• Pay as you go / No contracts!

3. Download the detailed report

Once the payment is completed, the service will immediately begin validating your email addresses and will allow you to track the progress for the job, optionally alerting you via email at its completion.

As soon as the job finishes, you will have access to a detailed validation report that you will easily be able to download and save to your computer for further analysis.
